GBC voted in guru-hoaxer, His Holiness Sivarama Swami (“SRS”), claims that ritvik can be combatted by allowing devotees to use their own intelligence, and they will see that it is a “dishonest deviation”:
“So if we educate people as to what Krishna consciousness is about then so many deviant forms of Krishna consciousness, of which ritvik-vada is one and no doubt there will be many others, and there are many others, will not really have an effect on people. Generally people who are quite well educated, who are in the know, who have experience in the world, for them this is not a new thing that there are splinter groups, disagreements, opposing opinions. Ultimately intelligent people will satisfy their own intelligence by doing proper research into different arguments that come up, and they themselves will see the value of the Krishna consciousness movement that Srila Prabhupada founded and the dishonesty of such deviations as represented by the ritviks.”
(SRS Podcast, August 24th, 2007)
But as we saw on pages 6-7, it is actually SRS who is supremely dishonest, since as soon as “ritvik” entered his backyard in Hungary via BTP, he advocated the same intelligent people being denied the opportunity to do “proper research into different arguments”, by claiming these arguments must be ignored, not studied, with a reminder of punitive action thrown in for good measure:
“Therefore ritviks and their literature should be ignored […] The tone of the above law makes it quite clear that persons who are in breach of it can expect to be the object of serious sanctions."
(SRS Letter to Hungarian devotees, July 17th, 2008)
You can only research different arguments by reading what these different arguments are, so why is SRS so afraid of intelligent people being allowed to read our arguments and make up their minds for themselves? If our arguments are so fallacious that any intelligent person will immediately be able to see how dishonest they are upon reading them, as SRS claims above, then why not let people read them!?
Every single time our self-declared “good-as-God” gurus open their mouths on the subject of ritvik, they mire themselves in contradiction and error, as we document in every issue of BTP. This alone is evidence that they are not transparent-via-medium guru representatives of Srila Prabhupada.
