Guru hoaxer
agrees there was a Guru hoax |
Winter 2003/4
Our opening article in the last issue of Back To Prabhupada documented
how ISKCON was hijacked by unauthorised 'Gurus' determined to remove
Srila Prabhupada from his position, and instead install themselves as
his false successor Gurus.
This takeover took place in two parts: Guru Hoax part 1, 1978 - where
first 11 men installed themselves as false Gurus; and then Guru Hoax
part 2, 1987 - where a further 60-70 joined the false Guru programme in
the following years. In case any of our readers thought we were
exaggerating or making any of this up, we will now present the recent
words of one of the Guru hoaxers themselves, confirming all that we
wrote.
"Since Srila Prabhupada's disappearance,
ISKCON has experienced a series of losses. When eleven gurus started
to function as if they were the "chosen ones" who inherited Srila
Prabhupada's legacy, senior godbrothers became disheartened and left
the movement. […] Then the gurus started to fall down and left the
movement. […] Today, only a handful of Srila Prabhupada's disciples
are in ISKCON. And if we consider how many second generation
devotees have been lost due to the falldown of their gurus, it very
clearly indicates why ISKCON's progress has been thwarted in so many
countries in such a pathetic way".

"As a result Prabhupada's position became obscured…in 1981 we
started to face a crisis due to this system. The major crisis was
that the gurus started to have spiritual diffculties. Out of eleven
gurus, six gurus fell down and there was a massive catastrophe in
our society."
(Disciple's Meeting, 19/5/2003, PAMHO Text 6829041)
"Like in 1987, although we had a reform,
after so many gurus fell down, there was a fifty man committee
formed, and there was reform; it was not actually, at least my
perception is that it was not actually a reform. It was kind of
watering down the same misconception and continuing. Like what we
did was we appointed some more gurus and opened up the world for
anybody to initiate wherever he wanted. Whereas previous to that it
was a kind of zonal acarya. So that I think is the main
mistake where we started, that took place after Srila Prabhupada's
disappearance that has never been properly rectified. […]
Yes, I agree, to begin with, I think at the beginning I said our
main problem was introducing a defective initiation system. And that
defective system may have been watered down to some extent but it's
still prevailing. After Harikesa fell down in 1998, in 1999 I
proposed that it's obvious that we are going in the wrong direction.
Now, when you go wrong, when you know you're going in the wrong
direction, what do you do? You stop to find the right way. So for
the time-being, let's stop giving initiation and find out what is
actually the problem and what is the solution to this problem,
whether we can find a solution and until then, let us stop."

Not only therefore does this Guru hoaxer agree
with our analysis of the Guru hoax in toto, but for good measure he also
completely agrees with us that only Srila Prabhupada should be the
initiating (Diksa) Guru:
"Like some individuals are very open, like
Bhakti Marg Maharaja, he is kind of, even, he was telling me
yesterday when he gives initiation he tells his disciples that you
are actually Prabhupada's disciple and I am taking care of you,
trying to help you to become engaged in Srila Prabhupada's mission.
Now that's actually the crux of the whole thing, that if everybody
understands and makes that point clear to their disciples then I
think that a lot of our problems will be solved."
(July 20th 2003, Toronto)
That is the amazing good news - that we are
correct, as confirmed from the mouth of one of the Guru hoaxers
themselves. Now here comes the amazing bad news - having admitted that
the current Guru system is defective and that everyone should really be
initiated by Srila Prabhupada, what do you think this Guru hoaxer
actually DID? Did he ever STOP initiating new disciples, since as he
says it has always been "obvious" he was "going in the wrong direction"?
NO, he did absolutely nothing, but rather he carried on with 'business
as usual'- the Guru business that is. Indeed, he BECAME a Guru as a
result of the Guru hoax part 2 which he admits was perpetrated in 1987
when the GBC opened up being Guru to anyone and everyone. Rather than
follow his own advice, he continues to this day to embrace an initiation
system which he claims is "defective", and accumulate disciples by the
dozens.
And for good measure, he has these disciples give him regular worship on
the Vyasasana - those big, ornate thrones we mentioned last time -
worshipping and thinking of him in the same way a disciple of Srila
Prabhupada would think of Srila Prabhupada. So even when they agree we
are right, the unauthorised 80 Gurus still do not want to give up their
positions, so strong is the attachment to being Guru and being
worshipped as good as God.
The name of this hoaxer is given below, and the next time anyone meets
him, please ask him why he says one thing but does another.
HH Bhakti Caru Swami: admits that the Guru hoax happened, but
still happy to perpetuate it. |
